Manufacturing technique
Produced by a process of cold drawing a porthole extruded tube which improves mechanical properties and dimensional tolerances.

Advantages of porthole extruded and drawn products include tight control of wall thickness variation, coupled with cost effectiveness.

Porthole products are characterised by longitudinal weld seams. These tubes should not be used where the tube is subject to high internal pressures or expansion, where a seamless tube would be more suitable.
